Recycle Clothing Errands and Lazy Sunday

Currently watching the game between Patriots & Colts. Watched the Seahawks & Packers earlier and oh my gosh what a game!

I wanted to be comfortable the whole day for running a few errands and football watching. I recycled my Friday staples. I wore the same top and jeans. I did change it up with a different scarf and shoes!

I'm glad I finally found some booties! The ones below are from Nordstrom Rack by Sam Edelman "Lucca" bootie. So check out your local rack! These are super comfy, not too high and since they're suede, the look is more laid back.

My arm candy includes a watch from Kohls - which looks very similar to the Cartier style that the Duchess of Cambridge wears. I added my Tiffany's bracelet and a bow one from Charming Charlie.  My favorite cross body of the moment is Ralph Lauren from Bloomingdales.

Being a neutral watcher, I'm a Broncos fan, I wasn't shocked when the Seahawks won. Looks like the Patriots are in the lead, but you never know what will happen in football!

Till next time,

Maison Jules Dresses

Happy Saturday! I popped into my local Macys today and found some really pretty dresses! Heard of Maison Jules? I haven't until today, but I'm glad I did.

Their dresses are pretty well made and the fabrics are soft and gentle to the touch. So when you wear them, they're like a second skin. Most of the pieces I saw can be transitioned from day to night depending on your shoes and accessories!

I found the prices to be a little too high for some styles, for me at least; however, they are all on sale! My favorites are below...I'm going back tomorrow to get one and I need help deciding! Let me know!

Which one would you buy?  Till next time.

Casual Friday

Happy Friday friends! This week has been so tiring. Had some issues balancing in the office but it all worked out and I'm so glad it's the weekend! As usual, it's casual Friday and below is what I wore. This basically is a Kohls outfit since all of the clothing and shoes is from Kohls. My black cardigan is from Forever 21. The boots I'm wearing is Candies and they're actually size 4 in kids! I'm usually a 6 in womens. Tip, if you're petite and would love a pair of boots but womens tend to be too tall, check out kids section! You never know what you may find!

Here's to a great weekend! Till next time,

DIY Clutch

I saw this foldover clutch by Clare Vivier and oh my gosh...soooo simple and chic! A perfect go to purse for a night out or day of errands. I had just paid my bills so I didn't have the funds to buy one. See the screenshot below of the lovely anthracite color!! J'Adore right?!?!

I decided to get creative today and just make my own. I mean how hard could it be?!?! Uh yeah, it was not that easy, especially if you do it all by hand!! I wanted to use real leather so I "re-arranged" one of my older leather bags. I bought some cloth for lining and a zipper and went to work!

Below are most of my immediate supplies...

First step...I cut the handbag where I thought I could get the most leather pieces.

Then I attached the lining to the back ends of the leather. I cut the pieces of leather to a rectangle shape as well.

Then I sewed one side of the zipper to one of the leather pieces.

The next step is pretty much self explanatory. I sewed the two pieces of leather together from left to bottom to right. I did leave a little bit of space at the top on one of the sides so I can easily close it back up later when attaching the other side of the zipper. Unfortunately, I was so into this project that I forgot to take some pictures...

For the final finished product, I attached an Eiffel Tower charm, some chain and red stones; thought it added a little something extra to it don't you think?

Took me about 4 1/2 hours from start to finish...which isn't too bad. Now if I only had an industrialized sewing machine! Let me know if you have any questions...?

**end notes**

I am far away from being a crafter! I do try to create things since its cheaper and I happen to enjoy it...most of the time. My tips from this project...

1. Get the right needle and thread! If you're sewing leather, you need the right tools! Or if you have a strong enough sewing machine...that's even better!
2. Do not use super glue!!! It just complicates things!! I accidentally put too much glue on a piece of thread that I wanted to hold down and the glue spilled over onto the zipper!!
3. If you did use too much glue...try acetone (nail polish remover) it should lessen the stiffness. That's what I used and after awhile I was able to close/open the clutch. Thank goodness!!
4. TAKE BREAKS!! I didn't...except for a potty break maybe twice?

Till next time! (:

Outfit of the day

Happy Saturday everyone! I went window shopping with my sis and mum this morning. I wore a Shirtdress that I got at Kmart last November, teal colored plimsolls from urban outfitters and my new Alexander wang rockie bag!!!

Have a fab day!!!

Oh and while we were walking around, there was this fellow who was selling some puppies! I really wanted this one! He was adorable...half havanese half poodle! I already have 3 dog babies so I couldn't get another one...well not just yet; maybe in the future!
