The Beach is just at the tip of my fingers...

So I mean this literally...LOL. I had fun with my DIY manicure this evening. I saw this awesome style from Lulu's.com blog. They were promoting Syl & Sam Sunset Nails. I think they are located in Chico CA... Instead of me driving all the way over there, I thought I could give it a try myself. Not too shabby, I dare say! Since I am right handed, I was only able to draw the palm trees on my left hand. Hubby was kind enough to draw them on my right hand. I think you can tell who the better artist is. Haha.
1. Claire's - orange with glitter
2. Orly - clear diamond
3. NYC - topcoat
4. Sally Hansen - nail pen in black

DIY: Pink Shatter Purple Glitter Nails

Here's my first post on DIY nails.  I apologize for the crummy pics, I used my laptops' camera...I'll do better next time.  If you love OPI nail polish, then you must love the "shatter" black...I definitely do!  This is my second time pairing it with a non OPI polish and it works just fine.

Step 1:  Apply 2 coats of bottom color - hot pink NYC brand 111A

Step 2: Once dry, apply 1 thin coat of black "shatter" - OPI

Step 3: Once dry apply 1 coat of purple sparkle - L.A. Colors "Glistening Purple" NP445

Step 4: Apply your regular/favorite top coat shine.

I promise, next time I'll take better pics, my nails look uber fab and sparkly!  These pics don't do justice!  =)
