Lake Cuyamaca

Me and my mom.  Milan Crossbody bag available at PinkSatchel.com!
My day trip to Julian was pretty cold but nice...the best part was at Lake Cuyamaca.  It was so serene with the lake shimmering under the sun and the ducks swimming around, it was super relaxing!  If you're ever in So CA, you must see this quaint lake.  They also have fishing and little foot paddle boats for rent.

I couldn't resist taking this next picture, and since I couldn't be in the pic, My bag became the focal point.

There was a little bit of snow, but barely enough to even touch.  Maybe next time!

Combat Boots

On my previous post, I mentioned that I purchased some boots from Charlotte Russe for $20.  I am loving them!  These boots are super soft, contrary to their name.  I like how the laces give you versatility in how loose or tight you want to wear your boots...fabulous!  I paired these bad boys with some skinnys, a grey tee and a V-neck black sweater... :)

I love "When in Rome"

When the movie, "When in Rome" came out a year ago, I didn't pay any attention.  I thought it was just another romantic comedy that's predictable with a happy ending.  I first watched this movie a few months ago when it was on Starz premium channel...obviously for free.  It's still on Starz, and every time it's on, I seem to tune into it.

I've seen it like 5 times already and for some reason, I don't get tired of it...I might even go buy it on blu-ray!  I think the major reason why, is the fashion...especially the handbags!!!  I love love love three of the bags that were featured in the movie.

1. Scene: Beth arriving in Rome for her sister's wedding, she's carrying a black large tote...what is it you ask...it's YSL Downtown tote in black.

2. Scene: Beth and Nick are on their official first date at that weird "eat in the dark" restaurant, she's carrying a medium size flap over shoulder bag...what is it you ask...it's a Marc Jacobs Airliner bag in black.

3. AND MY FAVORITE OF THEM ALL!!!
Scene: Beth is in the "fontana de amore" in Rome, she's carrying a black sparkly maybe sequined evening bag with a detachable long strap...who makes that bag???  I've been searching for a while now regarding the designer of that clutch/evening bag and I can't seem to figure it out???  If anyone knows, please please please let me know!

Anyways, you can't really see the bag but it's super cute!!!  I found a couple similar bags below:

If, you haven't seen this movie...I suggest watching it...more than once!

Enjoy!  xoxo Jaja B.

A Cinderella Story...

Once upon a time in a far away land there lived a beautiful girl named Cinderella who dreamt of bigger and better things...of glitz and glam!  She thought about it so much that her fairy godmother showed up one evening!
"My dear child, if you keep dreaming these big dreams but never try to pursue them, then why dream them in the first place?"
   "I'm not sure," she replied, "I guess I don't think they're possible!."
"Well," said the fairy godmother, "we will fix just that!"
The next morning, Cinderella and her fairy godmother packed up her things and moved to a new and exciting place.
"Here," fairy godmother said, "take this
Sao Paolo Tote and go in search of your dream job!"
Cinderella held the tote in the crook of her arm and wore fabulous outfits until she landed her dream job.

During the first few months at her new job, Cinderella felt lonely and sad.  She missed everything she left and was worried she made a mistake.  Her fairy godmother once again showed up and said, "It was a very courageous thing you decided to do, but it was a crucial step to living your dream!  Take this Miami Hobo and go ask the other girls to a brunch and shopping day; it will cheer your spirit!"
Cinderella swung the hobo over her shoulder and enjoyed an awesome day out with the girls...she even found some super cute outfits to match her new hobo!

The girls day out not only cheered Cinderella's spirit but that same day, she met Prince Charming; which made her very very nervous.  Her fairy godmother showed up and asked her what was wrong.
"I'm so anxious and jittery and I have butterflies in my stomach...what if he doesn't like me?"
"Do not worry so much my child," replied fairy godmother.  "Take this
Manhattan Clutch/Wallet and just be yourself..."
Cinderella tucked the clutch under her arm and enjoyed many dates with Prince Charming!

A few years have passed and Cinderella is living the life she always dreamed of.  She still sees fairy godmother from time to time..."remember, my child, nothing is impossible, dreams are meant to come true if you have the courage to pursue them...and carrying a Classic Black Bag doesn't hurt!"
THE END.

I hope you enjoyed my mini fairytale.  The moral of the story???  Follow your dreams and always have a classic black bag to turn to!
